Telehealth Hormone Services in California
Physician-led telehealth hormone evaluation and ongoing care for eligible adults throughout California. Dr. David Nazarian, MD, provides individualized assessment, laboratory review, treatment planning when medically appropriate, and follow-up monitoring from our Los Angeles practice.
Telehealth can make specialty hormone care more accessible, but it does not replace every in-person examination. When an in-person evaluation, imaging, procedure, or urgent assessment is clinically necessary, patients are directed to appropriate local care.
How Telehealth Hormone Care Works
1. Comprehensive consultation: We review symptoms, medical history, medications, goals, and relevant risk factors.
2. Laboratory evaluation: Appropriate laboratory testing is reviewed before treatment decisions are made. Testing is individualized rather than based on a one-size-fits-all panel.
3. Physician-guided plan: If treatment is clinically appropriate, options, expected benefits, limitations, alternatives, and important risks are discussed.
4. Ongoing monitoring: Follow-up visits and repeat testing are used as appropriate to evaluate response and safety.
Hormone Concerns We Evaluate
Telehealth visits may address menopause and perimenopause symptoms, testosterone deficiency, estrogen and progesterone questions, thyroid-related concerns, metabolic and insulin-related hormone issues, cortisol and adrenal disorders, and other symptoms that may warrant endocrine or internal-medicine evaluation.
Treatment is not automatically prescribed after a telehealth visit. Recommendations depend on the clinical evaluation, laboratory findings, diagnosis, contraindications, and applicable California requirements.

Telehealth Hormone Care: Common Questions
Can all hormone care be completed by telehealth?
Not always. Many consultations and follow-up visits can be performed remotely, but some symptoms or findings require an in-person examination, procedure, imaging study, or urgent evaluation.
Do I need laboratory testing?
Laboratory testing is often part of a hormone evaluation, but the appropriate tests depend on the patient’s symptoms, history, medications, age, sex, and clinical question.
Does a consultation guarantee a prescription?
No. Medication is prescribed only when the treating physician determines that it is medically appropriate and legally permitted.
