Hormone Care Built Around the Patient — Not a One-Size-Fits-All Protocol

Hormone-related symptoms can overlap with sleep problems, thyroid disorders, medication effects, nutritional issues, stress, menopause, aging and other medical conditions. Our approach starts with the clinical picture rather than assuming that every symptom represents a hormone deficiency.

When hormone therapy is appropriate, treatment is individualized according to symptoms, examination, relevant laboratory findings, medical history, risk factors, preferences and treatment goals. Follow-up and monitoring are part of care.

What Symptoms May Lead to a Hormone Evaluation?

Patients often seek evaluation for fatigue, changes in sexual function or libido, hot flashes or night sweats, menstrual changes, sleep disruption, changes in mood, loss of strength or muscle, changes in body composition, or other persistent symptoms. These symptoms are not specific to a hormone disorder, so an appropriate medical evaluation is important before treatment.

How Hormone Evaluation Works

Consultation. We review symptoms, goals, medical history, medications, prior treatment and relevant risk factors.

Testing. Laboratory testing is selected when it can help answer the clinical question. Additional testing may be appropriate depending on the patient.

Shared decision-making. If treatment is appropriate, we discuss reasonable options, expected benefits, limitations, alternatives and potential risks.

Monitoring. Follow-up is used to assess symptoms, treatment response, adverse effects and relevant laboratory or clinical parameters.

Hormone Treatment Options

Depending on the diagnosis, patient and treatment goals, options may include testosterone therapy, estrogen therapy, progesterone therapy, thyroid treatment, hormone pellets, or fertility-conscious approaches such as HCG for appropriate male patients. Not every option is appropriate for every patient, and treatment should follow an individualized medical assessment.

What Does Hormone Therapy Cost?

Our current hormone consultation is $450. The current comprehensive men’s program is $4,200, and the women’s program is $2,500. The appropriate program depends on the patient’s clinical needs and treatment plan. Additional testing or services may have separate costs.

Hormone Replacement Therapy FAQs

How do I know whether I need hormone replacement therapy?

Symptoms alone cannot confirm a hormone deficiency. A medical evaluation considers symptoms, history, examination when appropriate, relevant testing and alternative explanations before treatment is recommended.

Is hormone therapy the same for women and men?

No. Indications, treatment options, dosing, risks and monitoring differ according to the patient, diagnosis and therapy being considered.

Do you offer hormone pellets?

Yes. Hormone pellets are one treatment option offered by the practice. Whether pellets or another formulation is appropriate depends on the individual patient and treatment goals.

Do you offer HCG for men who are concerned about fertility?

HCG is available for appropriate male patients. Fertility goals should be discussed before starting testosterone therapy because exogenous testosterone can suppress sperm production.
